So bookmine solves this by making the user able to fish out each book based on the users taste all in one place.
Each persona focuses on different genres and keeps the user focused in one set of similarly selected books.

The User interaction was curated through researching and testing user behaviours of using different book reading apps. All consistent layouts were retained to maintain consistency and familiarity with Book-mine, ensuring ease of use and accessibility throughout the user interface.

• Simplify Book Organization: Create an intuitive and user-friendly interface that simplifies the process of categorizing and organizing books.

• Personalized Book Discovery: Enable users to discover books that align with their specific interests by introducing the concept of “Personas.”

• Enhanced User Engagement: Keep users engaged with features such as personalized recommendations, book tracking, and social sharing.

Information Architecture

To achieve our goals, the first step was to design a clear and efficient information architecture:

    •    Home Screen: A clean and welcoming home screen displays featured books, personalized recommendations, and recently added books.
    •    My Personas: Users can create and manage multiple personas, each representing a specific genre or interest.
    •    Book Catalog: The catalog is divided into personas, allowing users to explore books relevant to their chosen genres easily.

User Flow

    •    Onboarding: A simple onboarding process introduces users to the concept of “Personas” and guides them through creating their first persona.
    •    Persona Creation: Users can create personas by selecting from predefined genres or customizing their own. They can choose an icon and color to represent each persona.
    •    Adding Books: Adding books to personas is easy – users can manually input book details or scan barcodes. The app also allows importing books from Goodreads or other reading platforms.
    •    Book Discovery: The app uses AI recommendations and user preferences to suggest books that fit within each persona. Users can also explore the entire catalog by genre.
    •    Book Details: Detailed book pages include information like author, description, reviews, and a “Read Now” option for e-books.
    •    Social Sharing: Users can share their personas and book recommendations on social media, fostering a sense of community.

Testing and Iteration

Usability testing was conducted to gather user feedback and make necessary improvements. Iterations were made to refine the user experience and fix any pain points identified during testing.
